Free Desmyter  Takenouchi Documents  2025.

Pianist and composer Free Desmyter and master djoze player Bassem Hawar have been working together for years now. In 2007, they were already laureates of the Creole/Global Music Award with their maqam formation Ahoar de.In 2018 they created "the Takenouchi documents" . For this creation, in which contemporary classical, jazz and traditional Eastern music comes together harmoniously, Desmyter was inspired by the Takenouchi documents, age-old writings that describe our planet as it was 20,000 years ago. The 11-piece orchestra, with musicians from the four corners of the earth, stars oud player Saad Mahmood Jawad and singer Khaled Alhafez.

The original project started in 2018. Created by the support of international arts center and record label.

Now Free Desmyter prepares new music, and arrangements, reinforcing the original project.

The concept of combining different musical traditions in a multicultural project is not only artistically enriching but also serves as a testament to the universality of music. The fusion of East and West in this project offers a unique opportunity for audiences to explore the connections between diverse musical genres and appreciate the beauty that arises when they intersect.

With Free Desmyter's credentials as a Creole German World music Award winner; his experience with the multi-cultural formation "Ahoar," and his leadership of the original "Free Desmyter Bassem Haware Takenouchi Documents"; this project appears poised to offer a fresh perspective on the potential of cross-cultural musical fusion.

His work as jazzpianist, composer, arranger, is an amalgam of different musical styles. And he moves, as to say, as a cameleon into jazz, classical and worldmusic. Free Desmyter obtained prices, such as Prix Nicolas d'Or, Sabamprice. And the national "Creole German Wordmusic Award with de Irakee-German-Belgian formation "Ahoar", for which he composed in the Persian musical stylel: maqam with a new approach. A live recording session by Deutsche Welle Bonn for a meeting of Irakee journalists has been broadcasted in Bagdad during the war, as statement. Free Desmyter toured with the African band N'Faly Kouyaté and Dunyakan in Canada, England and Belgium, by which concerts, interviews have been broadcasted by BBC World and Canadian TV and radiostations. And he orchestrated music from N'Faly Kouyaté played by the Mons Chamber Orchestra with the "Chris Joris Experience"
